Hi friends and Happy New Year,
my name is Ben. Most of you know me from your English book.
At the moment I’m in Ireland to visit our partner school in Bray, the Loreto Secondary School. Because of Covid we couldn‘t do the exchange in the last two years. I heard that our students are still really interested in this exchange and that they have so many questions! What is the daily life in Ireland like? How does the school look? So I decided to fly to Ireland to find out the answers for them until they can travel there themselves. I’m really excited.
In the next months I am going to keep you updated here in my travel blog! In my first photo you can see me on 25th December sitting in the Christmas tree and celebrating with an Irish family. It was wonderful!

Hallo Freunde und ein frohes neues Jahr,
mein Name ist Ben. Die meisten von euch kennen mich aus eurem Englischbuch.
Im Moment bin ich in Irland, um unsere Partnerschule in Bray, die Loreto Secondary School, zu besuchen. Wegen Covid konnten wir den Austausch in den letzten zwei Jahren nicht machen. Ich hörte, dass unsere Schülerinnen aber immer noch sehr an diesem Austausch interessiert sind und dass sie so viele Fragen haben. Wie ist das irische tägliche Leben? Wie sieht die Schule aus? Daher entschied ich mich dazu, nach Irland zu fliegen, um Antworten für sie zu finden, bis sie selbst wieder dorthin reisen können. Ich bin sehr aufgeregt!
In den nächsten Monaten werde ich euch hier auf meinem Reise-Blog auf dem Laufenden halten. Auf meinem ersten Foto könnt ihr mich am 25. Dezember im Christbaum sitzen und mit einer irischen Familie feiern sehen. Es war wundervoll!
